Terms of use and sale
By using Bakefile you agree to the following terms.
Free tools
Bakefile provides free file-processing tools that run in your browser. They are provided “as is”, without any guarantee of availability or perfect results. Always check the produced files before relying on them, and keep your originals.
Paid services (processing on our servers)
- Scope: the processing of one or more files by our servers, with the same tool and options as in the browser, and the delivery of the result as a download.
- Price: the price, all taxes included, is shown before any upload and again on the order page, for each processing. There is no account, no subscription and no hidden fee.
- Free preview: the processing runs before payment and a preview (statistics, names of the produced files, excerpt) is shown to you. If the processing fails, no payment is requested.
- Payment and seller: payment is made on a secure page hosted by Stripe. The service is sold and invoiced by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. as the merchant of record (“Managed Payments”): Stripe issues the receipt or invoice, collects the applicable VAT and handles refund requests and disputes under its own terms, which you accept on its payment page.
- Immediate delivery and right of withdrawal: the result is digital content delivered immediately after payment. By clicking “Pay” you expressly request that immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as the download is available (EU Consumer Rights Directive, art. 16(m)).
- Availability of the result: your files remain downloadable for 24 hours after payment, from the address of the order page, then are deleted. Before payment they are deleted 60 minutes after upload. You can delete them yourself at any time. Keep the address of the order page: it is your only way back.
- Problem after payment: if the result is inaccessible or clearly unusable, write to [email protected] with the order identifier within 14 days: we re-run the processing or ask Stripe for a full refund.
Use
You are responsible for the files you process and for the rights attached to them. You agree not to send unlawful content to our servers and not to disrupt the service (automated uploads, abnormal volumes). Size limits depend on your device for the free tools and are displayed for the paid services.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages linked to the use of the tools, nor for temporary unavailability of the service. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. For a dispute about a paid service, write first to [email protected]. You may also use the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
